Our President Whitney Munro is right: The workforce needs to retain women.
If you lead a business, what steps are you taking to engage women, working mothers, and employees alike?
🚨 This should be a major red flag to every CEO and employer nationwide. 🚨
Make no mistake: The workforce needs women and what we offer in it. Companies cannot afford the loss—both cultural and fiscal—that would be felt losing out on talented, highly educated women. Our society cannot afford to move backwards.
There is no doubt that women—specifically, working mothers—would bear the brunt of eliminating remote work. But let’s be direct: Remote work gives women AND men the best opportunities to be engaged with their families and build successful long-term careers. My own experience of managing successful remote teams and organizations for the past decade has shown me that remote workers often work harder—and are more productive—than those in an office environment.
To be sure, there are plenty of “lazy” remote workers—just like there are “lazy” in-office workers and poor managers in both environments. But if we spent less time calling workers who seek work-life balance lazy, and more time investing in leaders who can successfully manage teams in any environment, imagine the outcome…
More effective managers, happier female AND male employees, more productive teams.
